Two years ago today I met the most precious little boy. He was born beautiful and broken in all the ways God intended him to be, perfect. Thankfully matched to us, his parents; Owen’s broken heart made ours love him and life that much more.

We miss him today as much as we did yesterday; there is no fill for the void he leaves. Though a part of us will always be empty there is so much more of us that is very full. Full of joyous memories engrained because a child is yours forever; earth bound or heavenly – they give us parents light and purpose.

March 8th will always be the most beautiful celebrated day for us. It is our first day of being parents, our first son, our first of so many more great reflections. As we continue weaving this blanket of life we are forever grateful that Owen was, is and continues to be a part of the thread.
